Rachel Aubert

Rachel Aubert is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke. She joined the institution in 2021 and is board-certified in both adult neurology and vascular neurology. Her leadership roles include serving as Program Director of the Vascular Neurology (Stroke) Fellowship and active participation in the Adult and Child Residency Programs. Regionally, she holds key positions such as President and Chair of the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council Stroke Committee, workgroup lead for the NCTTRAC Stroke Research Subcommittee, and member of the Stroke Systems of Care Committee. She also contributes to the Texas Neurological Society's Legislative Committee and multiple UTSW/Parkland Hospital committees focused on improving acute stroke care protocols.

Education: Medical Degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM, Spartanburg, SC). Neurology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA) as Chief Resident. Vascular neurology fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute (Phoenix, AZ).

Research interests center on cerebrovascular disease, stroke care optimization, and clinical safety protocols. She frequently lectures locally and nationally, including a keynote at the Prevent Blindness Texas Health and Vision Symposium. Her roles include quality and safety coordinator for UTSW trainees and safety reviewer for the hospital system. She actively reviews for international stroke and neurology journals.
