Erica Jones

Erica Jones is a faculty member at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, affiliated with the Department of Neurology in the School of Medicine. Certified in neurology and vascular neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, she serves as Clinical Director of Outpatient Vascular Neurology Clinics at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospitals.

Dr. Jones’ research focuses on health disparities in stroke care, global access to stroke treatment, stroke prevention, and social determinants of health. Her work explores racial, ethnic, and sex disparities in stroke outcomes, climate change impacts on stroke care, and telehealth interventions to improve equity. Recent publications analyze trends in thrombectomy access, tenecteplase implementation, and cognitive screening methodologies.

She was awarded KL2 funding (2023) for research on racial disparities in stroke treatment and serves as a site investigator in national clinical trials advancing cerebrovascular disease therapies.
