Anik Amin is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, joining in 2020. He serves as the Medical Director of the inpatient General Neurology service at UTSW Clements University Hospital. His clinical focus includes General Neurology, Neurohospitalist medicine, and outpatient Epilepsy care for underserved populations. He is board certified in Adult Neurology and Epilepsy.
Research interests center on quality improvement (QI), healthcare delivery innovation, cost-effectiveness research, and value-based care initiatives. His projects include reducing avoidable neurological ED visits, improving dizziness care in emergency departments, and decreasing epilepsy clinic no-show rates. He actively mentors trainees through the Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN) and has been recognized as the Resident Teacher of the Year (2021–2022).
Dr. Amin holds leadership roles on the Parkland Health Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee and the Parkland Neuroscience Performance Improvement & Action Committees. His educational contributions span medical students, residents, and allied health trainees, emphasizing clinical decision-making and project mentorship.
