Quyen Do

Dr. Quyen Do is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in translational research with a focus on functional MRI and placental imaging. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Dallas and completed postdoctoral training under Robert E. Lenkinski, developing arterial spin labeling (ASL) techniques for tumor analysis. Her research integrates MRI advancements with clinical applications, particularly in placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) disorders and tumor metabolism.

Education: B.S. Biochemistry (Abilene Christian University), Ph.D. Chemistry (University of Texas at Dallas).

Research interests include radiomics, placental perfusion analysis, and MRI contrast agent development. She has pioneered quantitative MRI techniques for placental assessment and applied machine learning to improve diagnostic accuracy in obstetrics. Dr. Do’s work has led to innovations in prenatal imaging and tumor metabolic profiling.

Her scientific contributions include over 25 peer-reviewed articles, with notable work on PAS radiomics analysis (2019–2024) and anti-vascular therapies for lung cancer (2020). She was recognized for distinguished service as a JMRI reviewer in 2019, 2023, and 2024. Current projects involve deep learning models for automated placental segmentation and longitudinal placental imaging in hypertensive pregnancies.
