Qifan Wu is a Teaching Professor in Piano Performance at the College of Music and Media, Loyola University New Orleans, with a focus on instrumental studies. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas and the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, respectively.

Wu's articles highlight his expertise in musicology, classical piano, and cross-cultural compositions.
