His research focuses on piano performance art, music education, and criticism, with particular expertise in Debussy, Prokofiev, and Chinese piano repertoire. His scholarly work bridges performance practice and academic analysis, exploring cultural elements in impressionist music, interpretive approaches to Chinese compositions, and pedagogical methodologies for classical sonatas. As a performer-scholar, he integrates concert experience into research, examining technical execution, expressive nuance, and cultural context in piano literature.
Recent publications reveal a trajectory from performance analysis (Prokofiev, Debussy) toward cultural studies in music (Chinese piano works) and pedagogical innovation. His 2022-2024 works demonstrate increasing engagement with Chinese musical identity and contemporary criticism, while maintaining technical focus on sonata form and performance practice.
