Mi-Eun Kim serves as a Lecturer in Piano at the Music and Theater Arts program of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), teaching piano and chamber music through the Emerson/Harris Program. Previously, she held teaching positions at Loyola University in New Orleans and Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
Her educational background includes a B.A. in History from Columbia University (Barnard-Columbia-Juilliard Exchange program) and MM, DMA, and Specialist degrees from the University of Michigan under mentors Logan Skelton, Yong-Hi Moon, Seymour Lipkin, and Richard Cass.
Kim specializes in classical piano performance with emphasis on Beethoven's sonatas, collaborative chamber music, and interdisciplinary artistic projects. Her international career spans solo recitals, orchestral collaborations with ensembles like the Ann Arbor Symphony, and chamber performances with renowned artists including the Calidore Quartet and Fabiola Kim.
