Qian Wang is the Department Chair and Carolina Distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of South Carolina. Their research focuses on bionanomaterials, including the functionalization and assembly of viral nanoparticles for biomedical applications, cell-matrix interactions, and drug delivery systems. Wang holds a B.A. (1992) and Ph.D. (1997) from Tsinghua University, followed by postdoctoral training at the University of Lausanne and The Scripps Research Institute.
