Punit H. Marathe serves as an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy since 2020, concurrently holding the position of Vice President of DMPK/Clinical Pharmacology at Agios Pharmaceuticals. Her prior roles include Executive Director at Syngene International, where she built integrated drug discovery capabilities across US and India operations, and Head of the Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics Department at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Her research spans 30 years in Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK), focusing on ADME profiling, PK-PD relationship establishment in animal disease models, human pharmacokinetic projection, first-in-human dose selection, and drug-drug interaction characterization for both small molecules and biologics. This expertise supports drug development from early discovery through commercialization and life-cycle management.
