University of Physical Education in Krakówمعرفی
Dr. Przemysław Bujas serves as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Anthropomotorics Teaching Team at the Department of Sport Theory and Anthropomotorics within the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at the University School of Physical Education in Krakow. Holding a PhD in physical education, Dr. Bujas has established himself as a leading researcher in human movement science with over 50 scientific publications spanning two decades.
His primary research focuses on functional symmetry and asymmetry in competitive sports, with particular emphasis on human movement coordination and body balance and stability. Dr. Bujas's work spans diverse populations from elite athletes to elderly individuals and clinical populations. His methodological approach often involves sophisticated biomechanical analysis using stabilography, GYKO inertial sensors, and other advanced measurement systems to assess postural control under various conditions including hypoxia, fatigue, and vibration therapy.
Analysis of Dr. Bujas's publication record (2019-2024) reveals a strong research trajectory evolving from foundational sports biomechanics toward increasingly interdisciplinary applications. While his early work focused on motor symmetry in young football players and balance mechanisms in winter sports athletes, his recent publications demonstrate expansion into clinical applications, particularly examining how exercise interventions like Nordic walking affect cancer patients. This evolution reflects growing recognition of the broader health implications of movement science research.
Dr. Bujas has secured competitive research funding including a Ministry of Education and Science project (grant number 2 P05D 057 30) entitled "Motor symmetry and asymmetry in young football players" (2006-2007). His extensive collaboration network includes researchers from multiple disciplines, demonstrating the interdisciplinary relevance of his work in sports science, rehabilitation, and clinical medicine.
Beyond his academic credentials, Dr. Bujas holds practical sports qualifications as a downhill skiing coach, snowboarding instructor, speed skating instructor, and roller skating instructor. This combination of theoretical expertise and practical experience enhances his ability to translate research findings into real-world applications for both performance enhancement and health promotion.
