Pruitt Doyle

Pruitt Doyle is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at the State University of New York at Buffalo (School of Arts and Sciences). He holds a PhD in Social Welfare from SUNY Buffalo (2013), and advanced degrees including a Master of Social Work (Syracuse University, 2002), dual Bachelor's in Social Work and Psychology (Nazareth College, 2001), and an Associate Degree in Human Services (Finger Lakes Community College, 1998). His clinical practice spans over two decades, specializing in trauma therapy, forensic social work, and clinical supervision. Research focuses on grooming behaviors of sex offenders, trauma's differential impact, and intervention efficacy. He is currently writing a practitioner’s guide on sexual grooming and finalizing validation of the Sexual Offender Grooming Assessment (SOGA) measure. Teaching emphasizes trauma-informed approaches, online/hybrid formats, and culturally responsive pedagogy. Extensive presentations at national/international conferences address topics like sex offender treatment, trauma resilience, and forensic ethics.
