Priyanka Jacob is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Loyola University Chicago. She specializes in Victorian literature, narrative theory, and media studies, exploring how information storage and material culture shape literary form. Her work bridges 18th- and 19th-century British fiction with contemporary media analysis.

Research interests include Gothic fiction, detection narratives, and the role of objects in literature. She teaches courses on global Victorian literature, epistolary narratives, and the materiality of paper in Victorian novels. Her 2024 book The Victorian Novel On File examines how Victorian novels reflect the era’s information explosion. Recent publications analyze secrets in fiction, relic symbolism, and media studies in contemporary and historical works.
Her courses include advanced seminars on Clarissa and graduate studies on paper objects in novels. She emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches linking literature to media and cultural studies.
