Jamieson Ridenhour is a Professor at Warren Wilson College, where he teaches courses in Victorian Literature, Gothic Novels, and First-Year Seminars. With a Ph.D. in the Victorian Novel from the University of South Carolina and nearly 20 years of teaching experience across multiple institutions—including a decade at a North Dakota university—he brings extensive academic and pedagogical expertise to his role.

His research focuses on Gothic/horror literature and film (19th–21st centuries), narrative structure, and new media forms like serialized audio fiction. He actively engages with creative projects beyond academia, including playwrighting with The Magnetic Theater in Asheville and producing audio dramas. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the intersection of personal and cultural storytelling, believing literature and narrative shape identity and memory.
