Priscilla Torres is an incoming Assistant Professor of Political Science at Wellesley College, specializing in international relations with a focus on peacekeeping, peacebuilding, and gender dynamics in global governance. Her work examines how international initiatives impact sub-national outcomes like conflict resolution and gender equality.

Torres' research, funded by the United States Institute of Peace and the Bradley Foundation, investigates the effects of international peacebuilding on local peace outcomes, particularly through fieldwork in Liberia and Central Asia. Her notable scientific award includes a pre-doctoral fellowship at Cornell University’s Gender and Security Sector Lab, where she assessed barriers to women’s participation in UN Peacekeeping Operations for the Armed Forces of Liberia and Norway.
