Priscilla Boerger

Dr. Priscilla Boerger is Professor and Chair of the Department of Education at Regis College, where she also serves as Program Director for the EdD in Higher Education Leadership, MEd in Teaching Special Education, and MEd in Student Success programs. With 25 years of experience in education, she previously spent seven years as an elementary school teacher and seven years on faculty at Lynn University. Her administrative roles include overseeing multiple graduate programs and chairing dissertation committees.

Her research focuses on:

• College access and transition for first-generation students
• Leadership development for women college presidents
• Diversity, equity and social justice in educational settings
• Culturally responsive teaching methodologies
• Psychology of learning across age groups

She teaches courses in Leadership, Teaching and Learning, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Psychology of Learning, Adult Learners, and Research.

Her recent publications primarily analyze educational literature through book reviews, examining works on leadership development, educational equity, mindfulness in classrooms, and pedagogical strategies for underserved populations. These reviews consistently engage with themes of social justice, institutional reform, and innovative teaching practices.

Awards and honors include:

• Compassionate Leadership Grant from Tramuto Foundation (2023)
• Recognition for Service to the School of Arts and Science at Regis College (2018)

As a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), she regularly presents at national and international conferences including the Association of Teacher Educators and The Learner Conference. Her presentations address culturally responsive leadership, college access initiatives, and educational reform strategies.
