Rucheeta Kulkarni, PhD, serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego (USD), where she contributes to the university’s online Master of Education (MEd) program. Her role centers on advancing the program’s commitment to equity, social justice, and practitioner-oriented research.
Research Focus:
- Educational Equity – investigating systemic barriers and inclusive practices that ensure fair access to learning for all students.
- Multicultural Education – exploring culturally responsive pedagogies that honor diverse learners’ backgrounds.
- Action Research – mentoring in-service teachers to conduct classroom-based inquiry that simultaneously improves student outcomes and teacher professional growth.
Her scholarship and teaching emphasize translating theory into practice, empowering educators to become reflective researchers within their own classrooms.
Teaching & Mentoring: Within USD’s fully online MEd program, Dr. Kulkarni leverages synchronous and asynchronous modalities to build strong faculty–student relationships, encouraging candidates to connect via phone or video when deeper dialogue is needed.
