Dr. Prashanna Nepal is a Lecturer in Business Management in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at De Montfort University's School of Leadership, Management and Marketing. He began his tenure at DMU in September 2022 and is affiliated with the People Organisations and Work Institute (POWI).

Dr. Nepal's research centers on human resource challenges in the hospitality industry, particularly employee retention and recruitment difficulties. His expertise bridges academic theory and industry practice, with a focus on the impact of macro-political events like Brexit on workforce dynamics. He is deeply involved in business education, teaching core topics such as Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Business Strategy, and Research Methods at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
His recent publications and conference presentations highlight a strong interest in pedagogical innovation, MBA student development, and industry engagement. Themes across his recent work include block teaching models, placement opportunities for MBA students, and networking in the international hospitality market.
