Dr. Emre Arslan is a Lecturer in Business Management and Deputy Programme Leader for the MSc International Business Suite at Leicester Castle Business School, De Montfort University (DMU). He joined DMU in December 2021 after roles in management consultancy and academia at Bournemouth University. His research focuses on strategic entrepreneurship, innovation in third-sector organizations, and social enterprises in the UK. Emre holds a PhD in Strategic Entrepreneurship from Bournemouth University (2021), an MSc in International Business Management, and a BA in Business Administration.

His research explores how strategic entrepreneurship drives resource utilization and innovation in voluntary organizations, with a focus on the South-West of England. Emre has presented work at conferences such as the European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (2016–2019) and the British Academy of Management Doctoral Colloquium (2017).
