Prakash Adhikari

Prakash Adhikari is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the School of Clinical Sciences, Optometry and Vision Science within Queensland University of Technology (QUT). His research focuses on Ophthalmology and Optometry, particularly on the role of photoreceptors like melanopsin and rhodopsin in human vision, retinal disease, and clinical diagnostic tools.

His publications span 2010–2025, with recent work examining spatial contrast sensitivity in retinal disease, melanopsin's influence on the visual cortex, and optimizing clinical methodologies. Collaborations with Professor Beatrix Feigl and Professor Andrew Zele highlight his interdisciplinary approach.

Prakash actively supervises Honours, Masters, and PhD students and contributes to advancing clinical optometry through innovative testing protocols and understanding photoreceptor dynamics.
