Poonam Beniwal-Patel, MD is an Associate Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) affiliated with Froedtert Hospital. Her clinical focus includes Gastroenterology with specialization in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Crohn's Disease, and Ulcerative Colitis. She holds board certifications in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Beniwal-Patel earned her MD from Chicago Medical School (2009). She completed residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at MCW (2009–2013), followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics (2013–2016) with a sub-specialty in IBD.
