Polly J. Price is the Asa Griggs Candler Professor of Law at Emory University School of Law and a Professor of Global Health in the Rollins School of Public Health. Her expertise spans Immigration and Citizenship Law, Legal History, Public Health Law, and Global Health Policy. She holds a JD from Harvard Law School and undergraduate degrees from Emory University.
Her research focuses on the intersection of law and public health, including historical legal responses to epidemics, TB control along the U.S.-Mexico border, and federalism challenges in disease management. Highlights include her 2022 book *Plagues in the Nation*, analyzing U.S. epidemic responses, and her 2017 Andrew Carnegie Fellowship supporting this work.
Price’s awards include the Hughes-Gossett Award (2019) and the Leon Silverman Lecture honor (2016). She collaborates with institutions like the Emory Antibiotic Resistance Center and the U.S.-Mexico Border Health Commission. Teaching includes courses on Citizenship Law, Public Health Law, and Global Health.
