Pol Ghesquière is Full Professor in Orthopedagogics at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, KU Leuven (Belgium). His research focuses on the cognitive and neurobiological basis of learning disabilities, particularly dyslexia and dyscalculia, including screening methods, diagnostic instruments, and remedial teaching strategies. He serves as Academic Fellow of the International Academy for Research in Learning Disabilities (IARLD) and holds leadership roles in the Flemish Learning Disabilities Network and Dyslexia International (UNESCO NGO).
