معرفی
Piotr Mikołajczak serves as Professor and Vice-Rector for Research and Evaluation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk since 2019, affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture and Design through the Design Fundamentals and Methodology Workshop.
He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in 2001 and holds a postdoctoral degree (habilitation).
His research centers on material culture, provincial narratives, and design methodology, exploring "the life of things among people" through exhibition curation and theoretical writing. This interdisciplinary approach connects design education with tangible cultural heritage, emphasizing regional contexts and object-based storytelling in Polish museums and public spaces.
Mikołajczak coordinates the National Seaside Design Meetings "Young Man and the Sea," organizing workshops for first-year students, and contributes as a columnist to the "2 + 3D" design quarterly.
His leadership includes directing the Design Fundamentals and Methodology Workshop, where he integrates academic research with practical design projects spanning exhibition development, historical interpretation, and material studies.
