Piera Morlacchi is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Edinburgh Business School. She leads the Imagination Lab (ILab) and focuses on the intersections of technology, entrepreneurship, innovation, public policy, and organizational studies. Her work integrates pragmatist sociology, philosophy, and science and technology studies to explore transformative change and desirable futures.
Her research spans digital and health fields, examining topics such as digital entrepreneurship ecosystems, health technology evolution, and policymaking in uncertain environments. She has published in journals like Organization Studies, Gender, Work and Organization, and Research Policy.
- Education: Bachelor and Master in Management and Industrial Engineering (Politecnico di Milano); PhD in Business Administration (University of Bath).
