Phoebe Li is a Professor in Law and Technology and founding Director of the Sussex Centre for Law and Technology (SCLT) at the University of Sussex. Her research focuses on intellectual property, technology regulation, and international trade law, with particular emphasis on emerging technologies like AI, 3D bioprinting, and gene editing. She leads interdisciplinary projects addressing digital trade policy (CITP), AI ethics (UKRI RAI), and biomodifying technologies (BioGov).
