Phoebe Apeagyei

Dr. Phoebe Apeagyei is a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University's Manchester Fashion Institute. A Chartered Member of the Textile Institute, she holds a PhD in Apparel Fit Analysis, MSc in Clothing Product Development (Distinction), and BA in Education. She established the university's first Anthropometric Lab using 3D body scanning technology.

Research spans apparel innovation, anthropometrics, garment fit, body image analysis, and ethical fashion. She contributed to the UK's Shape GB children's sizing survey and supervises PhD projects on sustainable design, smart textiles, and bra fit optimization. Teaching includes BSc/BA Design Research, MSc Fashion Technology, and international lectures in China/Ghana.

Industry experience includes fashion design (London/USA) and academic leadership winning awards for student global design competitions. She serves on the Textile Institute council and MIRIAD research management board.
