Professor Phillip Morgan is the Chair of Private Law at the University of York Law School. He holds academic qualifications including MA (Cantab.), BCL (Oxon.), and PhD (UCL). His expertise spans tort law, contract law, commercial law, and AI law, with a focus on vicarious liability, AI accountability, and legal technology. He is the co-editor of The Cambridge Handbook of Private Law and Artificial Intelligence and editor of Tort Liability and Autonomous System Accidents.
