Philippe Mongin

Philippe Mongin is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and has been a Professor at HEC Paris (School of Economics and Decision Sciences) since 2006. He holds an agrégation in philosophy and a PhD in economic science, with research spanning economic theory, formal logic, and decision-making models.

Research Interests: Mongin’s work focuses on instrumental rationality, collective aggregation of judgments and preferences, and formal logic applications in decision theory. His publications span journals like Journal of Economic Theory, Economics and Philosophy, Synthese, Games and Economic Behavior, and Journal of Philosophical Logic.
