Dr. Philippa Gates is a Professor of Film Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University's Faculty of Arts, specializing in Hollywood and American film history with a focus on gender, race, ethnicity, and aging in cinema. Her work interrogates genre conventions and cultural representations in classical and contemporary films.
