Dr Philippa Case is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Research (CAMHR), part of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Hull. She holds a PhD in Public Health and Epidemiology from University College London (UCL) and is a qualified mental health nurse. Her research focuses on improving care pathways for individuals with alcohol use disorder and cognitive impairment, emphasizing effective identification and tailored interventions.

- CAMHR - Research Internship (2025–2026): £18,673 grant from Mental Health Research UK to train early-career researchers in addiction studies.
- CoACH Project (2023–2025): £145,600 NIHR grant evaluating alcohol assertive outreach programs in Hull hospitals and communities.
- Systematic Review of Alcohol Interventions (2023–2024): £4,071 from the Institute of Alcohol Studies to assess brief interventions for cognitively impaired drinkers (completed).
Labs/Teams: Active contributor to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Research (CAMHR), collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on clinical trials and service evaluations.
