Philip Zelikow is the Botha-Chan Senior Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution, where he focuses on critical episodes in world history, policy design, and statecraft. Previously, he held a chained professorship in history at the University of Virginia (25 years) and served as an associate professor at Harvard University. His expertise spans American Political History, International Diplomacy, Military History, and US Presidency.
His recent scholarship addresses global security challenges, including AI policy, Russian asset management post-invasion of Ukraine, and historical lessons for modern conflicts. Zelikow's work has been featured in Foreign Affairs, The Economist, and Lawfare, among others.
