Peter M. Robinson is a Murdoch Distinguished Policy Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, where he focuses on public policy, political parties, and US presidential history. He earned a summa cum laude BA in English from Dartmouth College (1979), followed by a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University (1982). After serving as a White House speechwriter for Vice President George Bush and President Ronald Reagan (1982–1988), he obtained an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business (1990). He joined Hoover in 1993 and hosts the video series Uncommon Knowledge, while authoring books and commentaries on politics, business, and historical figures.
