Philip Vlaskovsky serves as a Research Fellow in Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Western Australia's School of Molecular Sciences, with joint appointment at the Centre for Human Lactation Research. His interdisciplinary work bridges biostatistics and clinical health research across lactation science, environmental exposures, and Indigenous child health.
Research interests focus on lactation risk prediction, cardiometabolic interventions, and epidemiological modeling of health outcomes. Key methodologies include randomized controlled trials, cohort analysis, and biomarker quantification. Current projects examine plastic exposure reduction (PERTH trial), breastfeeding challenges post-cesarean, and Aboriginal child health determinants through linked data systems.
- SDG contributions: Good Health and Well-Being (3), Reduced Inequalities (10)
- Research fingerprint: 100% Randomized Controlled Trials, 71% Abdominal/Head Circumference studies, 68% C-Reactive Protein analysis
Active collaborations span medical schools, public health institutes, and Indigenous health services across Australia. Current work integrates mathematical modeling with clinical translation in maternal-child health and environmental medicine.
