Philip Batterham is Professor and Co-Head of the Centre for Mental Health Research at ANU's National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health. His research develops prevention programs for mental health disorders and suicide, with expertise in digital interventions and population-level assessment.
Research develops suicide prevention frameworks, e-mental health implementation, cognitive behavioral interventions, and mental health epidemiology. Focuses on at-risk populations including veterans, adolescents, and rural communities.
Publications emphasize suicide prevention (2011-2025), digital mental health (2013-2024), anxiety/depression interventions (2010-2024), and mental health assessment (2014-2023). Recent work includes multi-country trials and longitudinal cohort studies.
