Phil Rodgers

Phil Rodgers, Pharm.D., is an Associate Professor and Adjunct Associate Professor at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He serves as Director of Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPEP), overseeing courses like Integrated Pharmacotherapy and Patient Care Experience. His roles include teaching, advising student organizations (CAPS, Kappa Psi), and directing educational programs. Rodgers earned his BS and Pharm.D. from UNC Chapel Hill and completed an ambulatory care residency at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals.

His research focuses on interprofessional education, innovative teaching methods, diabetes management, and primary care. He has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Rodgers previously held leadership roles at Duke University, including Director of the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency and Director of Pharmacy Education for the Duke Area Health Education Center. His presentations and publications span diabetes pharmacotherapy, team-based learning, and healthcare collaboration.
