Jennifer Smith Byrd

Dr. Jennifer Smith Byrd is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Union University's College of Pharmacy. She holds dual board certifications in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy and Advanced Diabetes Management. Her academic role includes teaching chronic disease management courses and overseeing student training via clinical rotations at The Jackson Clinic's Internal Medicine/Family Practice and Cardiology departments.

Education: Pharm.D. from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, followed by an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency in ambulatory care at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Research interests focus on clinical pharmacy practice innovations, student assessment methodologies, and chronic disease pharmacotherapy.
