Phil Parvin is a Professor of Politics at Loughborough University, holding roles such as Reader in Politics and Director of the Centre for the Study of International Governance. He is an elected member of the Executive Committee of the Britain and Ireland Association for Political Thought and an Associate Editor of Res Publica. His research focuses on democratic theory, political participation, and the ethics of political lobbying, with influential work covered by major media outlets like The Guardian and Bloomberg. He has been a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the University of Cambridge and held visiting positions at the University of California, Berkeley, and Oxford.
