معرفی
Peter Streb is a Lecturer at Université Paris-Saclay, affiliated with the Laboratoire Écologie, Société et Évolution – IDEEV in Gif-sur-Yvette, France. Since 2000, he has been a faculty member, previously serving as an assistant professor at Université Paris Sud.
Research Interests: His work centers on plant ecophysiology, with a particular emphasis on how plants adapt and acclimate to environmental stress conditions such as radiation, cold, heat, and salt. He investigates the mechanisms enabling alpine plants to tolerate extreme climatic conditions, focusing on photosynthetic responses, electron transport, and photoprotection strategies involving pigments like flavonoids and carotenoids.
Teaching Contributions: Streb is actively involved in teaching across multiple levels, from L2 to M2, covering topics like plant physiology, biodiversity, and ecophysiology of alpine plants. He conducts practical courses and lectures, emphasizing hands-on learning in controlled and natural environments.
Publications: His research has been extensively published, with over 30 articles in high-impact journals. Key themes include photosynthetic electron transport, oxidative stress responses, and the ecophysiology of alpine plants under extreme conditions.
Laboratory and Team: He is a key member of the Plant Ecophysiology team at IDEEV, contributing to interdisciplinary research on plant-environment interactions.
