Samuel Roturier is a Lecturer at AgroParisTech and affiliated with the Laboratoire Écologie, Société et Évolution (IDEEV). He leads interdisciplinary research at the intersection of ecology and anthropology, focusing on human/non-human interactions for conservation, restoration, and management of socio- and agroecosystems. Since 2022, he has headed the TESS team and coordinates the 'Local and Indigenous Knowledge & Ecology' research axis.
His teaching spans environmental management and engineering at AgroParisTech's 'Grandes Ecoles' Engineering degree, and he contributes to Master 2 programs in BEE (Université Paris-Saclay, MNHN, ENS, Sorbonne Université) and ACTES. Despite dedicating 50% of his work time to these roles, his research emphasizes the integration of Indigenous and local knowledge into ecological frameworks.
Working within Université Paris-Saclay's network, Roturier's laboratory (IDEEV) and team (TESS) focus on ecological transitions through societal lenses. His contact details include a physical address at Bât. 680 – 12, route 128, 91190 Gif Sur Yvette, and direct communication via phone or email.
