Fr. Peter Nguyen is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the College of the Holy Cross. His research focuses on systematic theology, particularly the intersection of 20th-century Christian martyrdom with totalitarian movements. He specializes in figures like German Jesuit Alfred Delp and German-Jewish Carmelite Edith Stein, analyzing their theological and ethical responses to oppression. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of St. Michael's College, Toronto, and an S.T.D. from Regis College. Future work will explore East Asian Christian martyrs under communist regimes.
