Peter Mourani

Peter Mourani is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and holds leadership roles as President of the Arkansas Children’s Research Institute and Senior Vice President/Chief Research Officer at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, the state’s only pediatric health system. His research focuses on acute lung disease mechanisms and biomarkers in critically ill neonates, infants, and children, with dual foci on developmental lung disease in extremely premature infants and lower respiratory tract infections in mechanically ventilated pediatric patients. His work leverages collaborations within multidisciplinary teams and substantial federal funding, including NIH grants.
