Peter Lamp is a Rudolf Diesel Industry Fellow at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Head of the Battery Technology department at BMW Group. He holds a MSc in Physics from TUM (1989) and a PhD in Physics from the Max Planck Institute for Physics, Munich (1993). His research focuses on electrochemical energy storage, Li-ion/SOFC technologies, and charge transport in materials. He leads advanced battery R&D at BMW, collaborating with TUM’s Electrochemical Systems department under Prof. Hubert Gasteiger. His work bridges academic innovation and industrial application in sustainable energy systems.
