Hubert A. Gasteiger

Hubert A. Gasteiger is a Professor and Chair of Technical Electrochemistry at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Department of Chemistry. His research focuses on electrocatalysis, energy storage, and conversion technologies, including batteries, proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells, and electrolyzers. He leads efforts in developing advanced materials and understanding degradation mechanisms in these systems. Gasteiger has held roles such as Co-coordinator of the Battery Analytics Cluster AQua and former Cluster Coordinator for PEM Water Electrolysis in the BMBF-funded P2X project.
