معرفی
Peter Jönsson is a Senior Lecturer and Docent at the Department of Physical Chemistry, Lund University, since 2015. He is also a member of the Dynamics Working Group and a LINXS Fellow, contributing to research on membranes and their constituents.
His research spans interdisciplinary domains at the intersection of chemistry, physics, and biology. Key focus areas include:
- Development of biophysical tools to study and manipulate cell-surface molecules
- Investigation of membrane protein organization in adaptive immunity
- Physical chemistry of peptide-lipid co-assembly
Prior to Lund, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge (2012–2015) under Prof. David Klenerman, collaborating with groups led by Prof. Yuri Korchev and Prof. Simon Davis. His work there explored immune system cell-surface molecule dynamics and nanopipette-based manipulation techniques.
His foundational work during his Physics PhD at Chalmers University (supervised by Prof. Fredrik Höök) focused on supported lipid bilayers and fluorescence microscopy, techniques central to his current research.
