Peter Herresthal is Visiting Professor of Violin at the Royal College of Music, London, with additional professorships at the Oslo Academy and NYU Steinhardt School. An internationally acclaimed violinist, he performs with major orchestras including BBC Philharmonic and Vienna Radio Symphony, specializing in contemporary repertoire.
Herresthal's artistic research focuses on expanding violin technique and interpretation, particularly in Nordic contemporary works. He champions new compositions through commissions and recordings.
