Ning Feng serves as International Professor of Violin at the Royal Northern College of Music. A renowned Chinese violinist, he maintains an active international performance career while contributing to the Strings department at RNCM.

Ning Feng has established himself as a leading violinist with major orchestras worldwide. His performance history includes collaborations with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and many others across Asia, Europe, and North America. He is particularly noted for his interpretations of both classical repertoire and contemporary works, displaying 'great lyricism and emotional transparency, [with] tremendous bravura and awe-inspiring technical accomplishment.'
His notable awards include:
- First Prize, Michael Hill International Violin Competition (2005)
- First Prize, International Paganini Competition (2006)
- Prizes at Hanover International, Queen Elisabeth and Yehudi Menuhin International violin competitions
Professor Feng is the founder of the Dragon Quartet (2012) and maintains an active recording career with Channel Classics, including his critically acclaimed album 'Apasionado' (2016) and subsequent releases of Bach's complete solo works for violin and the Elgar and Finzi Violin Concertos with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
