Peter Hand is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Monash University, affiliated with The Alfred Hospital Stroke Unit. He graduated with first-class honours in medicine from Monash University (1991) and earned an MD from the University of Edinburgh (2002). His career includes roles as Deputy Director of Neurology and Co-Head of the Stroke Unit at Royal Melbourne Hospital until 2018, and he currently leads Safer Care Victoria’s Stroke Clinical Network.
