Peter Guarino

Peter Guarino serves as Executive Director of the Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research Prevention (SCHARP) and Principal Staff Scientist in the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, while holding an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Biostatistics at Yale University School of Public Health.

His educational background includes a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of London, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2005), an MPH in Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases from Yale University (1998), and a BS in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University (1993).

Dr. Guarino specializes in the design, conduct, monitoring, and analysis of multicenter randomized clinical trials with emphasis on HIV/AIDS prevention, vaccine development, and improving informed consent processes.
