Peter Chadwick

Peter Chadwick is a Senior Lecturer in BA Graphic Design Communication at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London. With 28+ years of professional experience as an art director and graphic designer, he has collaborated with major clients including Universal Music, The Rolling Stones, and The Washington Post. His practice bridges industry and academia, emphasizing design fundamentals, art direction, and studio culture.

• Education: BA Graphic Design Communication (First Class Honours) from Chelsea School of Art (1991)

Chadwick's research explores Brutalism through his 'This Brutal House' project and authored books like This Brutal World (Phaidon, 2016) and The Town of Tomorrow (Here Press, 2019). He curates the annual BA Graphic Design Communication professional talk series, inviting industry leaders like Michael Bierut and Stefan Sagmeister.

His work has been exhibited globally and featured in The Guardian, New York Times, and Dezeen. Active in public speaking, he has presented at the V&A, Design Museum, and Hay Literary Festival.
