Peter A. Campbell is a Professor of Theater History and Criticism at Ramapo College of New Jersey's School of Contemporary Arts, joining the faculty in 2007. His contact information includes office hours in BC-326 and email pcampbel@ramapo.edu.
- Education: A.B. from University of Michigan, M.F.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University
Specializing in Theater History, Contemporary Theater, and Japanese Theater, his research spans postdramatic forms, adaptation of classical drama, and spatial representation in performance. His 2015 article in Contemporary Theatre Review examined American postdramatic trends, while his 2011 Comparative Drama work analyzed chorus adaptation in Charles Mee's Orestes 2.0.
Recent creative projects include the 2017 play Mediacracy (Theatre 54), exploring digital media's impact on society, and the 2016 performance installation Can't Get There From Here (Transformance Festival), investigating spatial-temporal dislocation through experimental formats.
